November 1, 2018October 6, 2020 Ioana

It looks like a huge disco floor placed right near the water of the Adriatic sea: this is the Greeting to the Sun, playing from dusk til dawn playful colourful lights generated by solar panels. Continue reading Zadar. Greeting to the Sun, on the Music of Sea

In between Lisbon with its vibrant city life and the natural park of Sintra with its unspoiled forests and windy beaches, Cascais is a peaceful town just perfect for one day trip. Continue reading Cascais & Guincho

About Travel in Patterns

Hi, I am Ioana, and I like to travel while working remotely. Sometimes I travel for short term, sometimes I stop and live in a new city for a while, getting to know new languages and local habits.

Over the years, I have called ‘home’ several cities across Europe including Lisbon, Bilbao, Amsterdam and Milan, until I fell in love in Barcelona, where I am based now. I have a twelve-years background in architecture, practicing it and writing about it, and I like to capture nice stories, patterns and colours around me. And to live by the sea.
